A Diverse Range of Projects

From a career devoted to strategy, business development, marketing and operational leadership, Thad draws on extensive experience to bring value quickly and sustainably to the organizations with which he works. A few examples of such projects include:

Lake Nona impact forum

As president of the Lake Nona Institute, Thad co-founded the Lake Nona Impact Forum as an annual invitation-only gathering of health and technology leaders and innovators.  It has blossomed into one of the most respected events of its kind, attracting a stellar group of international speakers and delegates to Lake Nona in Orlando each year.

Usta New Home of American Tennis

Collaborating with a team of local business, government and academic partners Thad led the charge in recruiting the U.S. Tennis Association to build the world's largest tennis complex at Lake Nona in Orlando.  The success was based on the relentless pursuit of mutual value, cultivating a broad base of relationships, and operating with transparency and integrity throughout the process.  The $60 million USTA National Campus opened in 2017 as the anchor of a Sports & Performance District at Lake Nona that will continue to expand in the years ahead.

university of central florida strategic plan

A highly inclusive effort among university and community stakeholders, the plan was unanimously approved by the UCF Board of Trustees in May 2016 and has guided the university ever since, including while Thad served as Chief Innovation Officer beginning in 2018, and as Interim President in 2019 and 2020.
